Long time no post - TE EF on Glisan & ParkBlocks

I've got my camera back in action. This is the first of many to come. Pretty nice spray on Glisson and Park Blocks, just up from the Passport place.

Dead Camera
Arggg... So my iPhone died. It's my primary camera ( actually my only digital camera these days) so as I work on getting it replaced this blog is going to continue to be ignored. Suckiest part, I've seen like a bizzalion things I wanted to get shots of after about a month of not seeing anything... Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be back in action. Stay tuned.

SubWay Animation Amazingness
So as you can see I didn't see that much in NYC in terms of street art, but then it seems the City's graffiti police are doing their job a bit too well. That said the sanction public art was impressive and there was a pretty amazing bit of animated art in the subway that I chanced to see. It's and incredible bit of animation using the train and lighted panels to accomplish the effect... I found the YouTube here but it's doesn't do it justice. If you're in NYC take the B train between Dekalb and Grand and see it for yourself.

Someone chained this lovely installation at my favorite building on NW Everette and 14th. Was there earlier this week, not sure if it's survived.Turns out this got moved. It's now in front of the Utretcht art supply store on NW Everette tween 11th and 12th.

ZZZZZZZZZZZ Asleep Goodnight - Everett and 14th NW

The Mier & Frank abandoned warehouse on Everett is one of my favorite buildings. I look at it almost everyday on my way to work and see all sorts of possibilities. A recent condo project just failed before they could do any damage to this classic building. The sight in the past year has been attracting more of Portland's street artist. There seems to be something new every few days, but for the 4 years prior, no one but the occasional movie poster slacker ever put anything up here. I'll be going down on a sunny day and capturing more of the wealth of word and visual art that's being spray, stuck and applied to this building in the near future. I'd love to venture inside if possible.
